What is Anthroposophy?

Rudolf Steiner described Anthroposophy as a path of knowledge to guide the spiritual in the human being to the spiritual in the cosmos. It manifests as a necessity of the heart and feeling. It is for those who feel that certain questions about the nature of man and the world are basic necessities of life, like hunger and thirst. He was a clairvoyant who spoke from his direct cognition of the spiritual world. However, he did not see his work as a religion or as sectarian, but rather sought to found a universal ‘science of the spirit.’A fundamental aspect of Anthroposophy is the recognition of a real spiritual world in addition to the visible physical one.
