Finding Answers to Life's Real Questions

Life is full of riddles. Why do we suffer? What is evil? What becomes of us after death? What is our origin? Without answers to questions like these our life seems to lack meaning and purpose. The materialistic science of our time can offer no satisfactory answer to such questions. But the science of the spirit, inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner, can. In this collection of thirteen lectures, Steiner focuses the light of higher states of consciousness on these pressing concerns of the soul. The resulting supersensible knowledge gives the soul that sureness which comes from real knowledge.

During the last two decades of the nineteenth century, the Austrian-born Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) became a respected and well-published scientific, literary, and philosophical scholar, particularly known for his work on Goethe's scientific writings. After the turn of the century he began to develop his earlier philosophical principles into an approach to methodical research of psychological and spiritual phenomena.

His multi-faceted genius has led to innovative and holistic approaches in medicine, science, education (Waldorf schools), special education, philosophy, religion, economics, agriculture (Bio-Dvnamic method), architecture, drama, the new art of eurvthmy, and other fields. In 1924 he founded the General Anthroposophical Society, which today has branches throughout the world.
