These two lectures are a First Edition English translation of lectures given at Berlin in October of 1909. They deal with the occult knowledge of the two Jesus children in relation to the Buddha, and how they are expressed in the Gospels with special emphasis on the Gospel of Matthew. The topics discussed include the mission of the Buddha and Zarathustra, and the preparations for the understanding of the Christ Mystery.

Lectures 1, and 2 from the lecture series: Deeper Secrets of Human Existence in the Light of the Gospels, published in German with the title: Die Tieferen Geheimnisse des Menschheitswerdens im Lichte der Evangelien.
