In these heartfelt lectures Steiner took his listeners through the inner experiences and moods of soul that are the vowels and consonants of the spiritual world.

These are the first four of eleven lectures given by Rudolf Steiner at Dornach in the Fall and Winter of 1914. They are from the lecture series entitled, Occult Reading and Occult Hearing, and were published in German as, Okkultes Lesen und Okkultes Hoeren.

This translation, by Dorothy S. Osmond, is presented here with the kind permission of the Rudolf Steiner Nachlassverwaltung, Dornach, Switzerland. From Bn 156.1, GA 156, CW 156.
