The very first lecture in a group of sixteen lectures given by Rudolf Steiner at Basel, in the Christmas Season of 1917. The lecture series is entitled, Mystery Truths and the Christmas Impulse, published in German as, Mysterienwahrheiten und Weihnachtsimpulse. Alle Mythen und ihre Bedeutung. Geistige Wesen und ihre Wirkungen. Band IV.
