Twenty-three public lectures held in Berlin from September 29th, 1904 until June 8th, 1905. This is a translation of volume 53 of Rudolf Steiner's Complete Work, original title (in English): Origin and Destination of Humanity, and published in German as: Ursprung und Ziel des Menschen. Grundbegriffe der Geisteswissenschaft, edited by Rudolf Steiner-Nachlassverwaltung Dornach, Switzerland, second edition 1981. Seven of these lectures were published in English with the title: Foundations of Anthroposophy. The translations of Goethe's Faust were taken from: Faust I and II, edited and translated by Stuart Atkins, Princeton University Press, copyright 1984.
